Therapeutic Play in Medical and Health Care Settings (2 Day Workshop) 25-26 Oct 2018

$650.00Therapeutic play is a specific approach to engage children, because it is a developmentally sensitive way to communicate and facilitate expression of the child’s thoughts and feelings, and may be applied to medical and health care settings and experiences. Therapeutic medical play may also be used proactively to prepare children before and to debrief after medical encounters, and using specific approaches during procedural phases.
This two day workshop integrates knowledge of paediatric medical and health care, childhood development and therapeutic play. It has been developed to extend the clinical skills of health care professionals who work with children and their families in health care settings.

Workshop cost
The workshop cost includes pre-workshop refreshments, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, and all workshop resources.

Cancellation and refund policy
Please notify Jessica of any cancellations by email: learntoplayevents@gmail.com.
Cancellations made within 7 days prior to the commencement of the workshop will be subject to a catering and administrative fee and will be refunded 50% of the original workshop fee paid.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours before the commencement of the workshop.
Learn to Play reserves the right to cancel the workshop and issue a full refund of the workshop fee to registrants.
